College, Organization, Laziness
College has really been quite a change. I though i'd just make the transition seamlessly and be able to handle it fine. But was I wrong. College takes so much more than high school did and it took me a few weeks to realize that! luckily i've managed to get things straight and truly get organized. It seems like i've solved many of my problems, the main one I need to focus on though is getting out of bed in the morning! Laziness will be my downfall and I already know it!

The Story of My Cursed Jeep Cj-7
So I have this jeep.... it is a 1977 cj-7.... the classic wrangler.. I absolutely love the car. I started saving for it when I was 16 years old. I saved up for a year, bussing tables and working in a hardware store putting aside every penny I could. I bought it myself when I was just turning 17 years old and dang did that feel good. Saving for so long and finally seeing that the hard work was definitely worth it. I had scored myself a black, V-8, stick shift, lifted Jeep all by myself at the age of 17. I was so happy right when I got it, it was like a dream come true. I drove the jeep for less than a month and I encountered my first problem with it. The transmission went out. Just my luck.... I had no clue what I was getting myself into. We went ahead and rebuilt the transmission and the transfer case (4WD) and all seemed to be good. All was fine for a month or two and then the problems came back. On my way home from school my rear axel messed up and my back right wheel nearly fell off the jeep! My mechanic fixed that after having it in his shop for about a month, and I thought I had fixed nearly everything on the jeep, and that id be fine now... nope.... the same problem came back with my back wheel. My mechanic stubbornly fixed it under "warranty" because they had just replaced my axel. The mechanic assured me that the problem had been totally fixed this time after having had the jeep for about another month. I started driving it again and of course at first everything seemed fine, then another problem came up. The same issue with the back wheel was happening again, just on the left side. The mechanic fixed it again, their hatred for the jeep had really began to increase every time they saw it. But they fixed that, and I got it back, but I was just about to go off to college. Because of how unreliable the Jeep was, I decided not to take it with me to Kennesaw. The Jeep had turned into a weekend, or every other weekend, car and didn't get driven much, only when visiting my hometown. Even though I didn't drive it much, I always checked for signs of that rear axel problem to make sure that it wasn't coming back, by looking for a gap where the wheel mounts to the axel. Just a few weeks ago I was home on the weekend and decide to put the top down and take a drive in the jeep. When I got home, as usual, I checked the axel, and there was a gap, indicating that our problem was back for a 4th time, and that I was in danger of having my wheel fall off. I let my mechanic know I was going to be bringing it up to them. It was just this friday the 13th, I was on the way to the mechanic and the worst possible thing happened, my axel broke and my wheel fell off my jeep while I was on the way. When it happened the back right off my jeep just dropped out and I had no control at all. Dragging on the axel and 3 wheels the Jeep went off the road to the right and jumped the curb ending up in grass. The 35 inch, oversized tire, axel attached, went off to the right also. I immediately called AAA to set up a tow truck, and began to put up my soft top. I got the top up just as it got dark and the tow truck showed up shortly after. The tow truck driver looked dumbfounded and seemed like he had no clue how to handle the situation. We ended up deciding to leave the jeep there over night and to let my mechanic be responsible for it in the morning because they cant fix the axel, and because i was only a mile from his shop. My mechanic is currently fixing it from that breakdown. The jeep must be cursed or something because its been nothing but trouble since I got it. I got it on Craigslist, so hopefully I can sell or trade it for something else on there.
